The bridge story
It has been here for ages." You can say that when you are on the Paulus Brother’s Lock in the Red Light District. This very old bridge owes its name to the St. Paul's Brotherhood monastery that stood here in the Middle Ages. Close your eyes and imagine a monastery on this spot.
City architect Bastiaan de Greef was the commissioned architect of the bridge. In 1966 the bridge was modified once more with a new road surface and paved again in the beginning of the 21st century.
