The bridge story
The Grimnesluis connects Rokin and the Oude Turfmarkt. In 2018, the bridge was found to no longer meet safety requirements and so the municipality therefore decided to close it to car traffic. Cornelis Anthonisz already drew the bridge on his map in 1538. The bridge was then part of three bridges. The bridge was partly renovated in 1937 and is now the only left of the collective bridges. You can find this bridge on the crossing of the Grimburgwal, Rokin and Spui.
